About Miss Alexander

She is a Consultant ENT Surgeon, specialising in ear disease and balance disorders, based in London and Surrey. Her NHS practice is based at St Georges University Hospital in London and at Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals in Sutton and Surrey.

 

She qualified from Bristol University in 2008 and also holds a Bsc in Neuroscience. She later went on to complete a Masters in Surgical Science and Practice at Oxford University in 2019. She completed her specialist ENT training in the deanery of Kent, Surrey and Sussex which included working at Guys and St Thomas Hospital in London and specialist paediatric training at Brighton University Hospital and Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children. She also completed the prestigious advanced training fellowship in Skull base, Ear and Cochlear Implant Surgery at St Georges University Hospitals NHS Foundation trust.

 

She has varied research interests and currently is the Principal Investigator at St Georges for a National Study looking at improving outcome in Necrotising Otitis Externa, which is a life threatening ear infection. She is also keen to improve local NHS services and is the ENT Lead for Tympa Hearing Health in Community Pharmacies which was awarded funding in 2022 to increase the access for hearing screening and ear wax removal in Merton, Wandsworth and Richmond.

 

Her practice includes the full range of ENT conditions in children and adults. Her specialist interests are glue ear, hearing restoration surgery, mastoid surgery, tinnitus, balance and chronic ear infections.
